My friend thinks she can get a scholarship for this, but I really don't think she can. Help?
My friend gets horrible grades. She got (literally) straight F's on her last report card. She barely attended school. She's always slacked off in school. Now, she's in her 2nd semester of her Junior year in high school and she's trying to do better, but even so, she is still getting Cs.
Her new guardian is in the military and offered her his scholarship. The scholarship is for any college of his choice, but it was never offered to my friend. Is it even possible to

graduate school grants single mothers-what is the better loan to take out? unsubsidized loan or subsidized loan?
i'm a 20 year old single mother. I receive government grants but I lost my scholarship due to a bad semester. I have no credit cards, or debt but I need something that will be easier for me to pay off and easier to handle when i graduate school.
I've researched both but I still don't have a good grasp on what they are and which is better.

Scholarships/tuition assistance for military spouse?
My husband is currently active duty coast guard, and I am a student at a nearby university. This is the closest university to us, but is still an hour and a half away; which adds up a lot in travel costs. I take online classes when I can, and any classes that I can at the community college, but soon I will have to take all of them on campus. Also, the tuition at this university in Portland is pretty high, and for some reason I wasn't able to get any scholarships from the

college grants single mothers-what qualifies as a single parent for college grants?
I live with my boyfriend and we have a 3 month old son together. I have been researching college grants and I noticed that there are quite a few for single parents, however I can't find anything that actually defines a 'single parent'. So, my question is, do I qualify as a single mother for grants because I am not married or as I disqualified because I live with my sons father?
thanks very much :)
he claimed me last year and will this year as well, along with our son since i have not worked

Join the military or go to college?
My mom is pushing me to join the Navy but my other family is pushing for college (Univ of South Carolina). I will not have any financial support from my family. I have given serious thought towards joining, and I wouldn't mind it, but I can't help but feel like I should be going to college. Yes I can use the GI bill but realistically, I would get my degree faster going full time and I've always wanted to be an officer. I'm academically competitive but scholarships are so
What should I major in in college if i want to travel?
I want to travel the world, as many people do. But I don't want to start a career that would limit me to stay around where I live or even the USA. I am really not sure what I want to do but I have a lot of different interests/skills. The only 3 careers I have heard of to travel the world are: Peace Corp, Airline Pilot, or join the Military. Those seem nice but non of the suite me and I am very eligible for Financial Aid/grants due to my income.

school grants single mothers-How does a single mother in high school get grants for college?
I've already filled out my FAFSA, but I'm confused. Is that the grants that my teachers have raved about for the past 12 years? Or am I supposed to do something else?
I'm a single mom in high school. This is my senior year. I just found out I got accepted into a school in Kentucky, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to pay for it now. If being a single mom with no income can get me something, any information I could use is welcome. Thanks!

Post-9/11 GI Bill My Story - Angelo
My name is Angelo. This is my story. I served in the United States Marine Corps for 25 years. When I retired from the military, I was worried how my experience would translate to the civilian world. With the help of the Post-9/11 GI Bill, I was able to go back to school and earn a Masters of Science in Project Management from George Washington University. I qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program, which meant that even at a private university my tuition was paid in full;

Can we qualify for federal grants if we are using the Montgomery GI bill?
my husband is getting out of the Army in November and we don't have a clue what we are going to do. His job in the military doesn't really transfer to a civilian job, and he doesn't have a college degree. He's considering going to college, but we don't know how we're going to support ourselves. We have two kids already and might have more in the future, so we kinda need the money. The MGIB will pay for tuition, and housing, but we would still need money for food and
