Can we qualify for federal grants if we are using the Montgomery GI bill?

my husband is getting out of the Army in November and we don't have a clue what we are going to do. His job in the military doesn't really transfer to a civilian job, and he doesn't have a college degree. He's considering going to college, but we don't know how we're going to support ourselves.
